  Entry-level therapists typically start trained in Swedish and deep tissue technique. From there, pay increases based on the depth and number of your modality certifications and your experience.

For example, a foundational certification (like manual lymphatic drainage) moves you up one tier, an additional advanced certification (like post-surgical lymphatic drainage) moves you up further, and reaching our $50+ tier is generally tied to Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP) certification, which combines multiple advanced modalities.
